Leadership Training Program
Campers who are going in to the 4th or 5th grade are eligible to be Leaders in Training (LIT). These campers are nominated by their fellow campers and by their counselors and are presented to the camp leadership team. Staff looks for leadership qualities and other character traits such as compassion, honesty, servant hood, respect, and responsibility. Once an LIT each camper is recognized by the camp and presented a LIT certificate. Once in the program, these campers participate in character development and leadership activities and are given opportunities to lead their peers in games and activities. Being and LIT is one of our camps highest honors and is a goal for every camper to strive for.
Camp Appalachia offers an amazing range of camp activities for all our campers. From exploratory free time to planned programming, our staff are always there to ensure a fun and safe experience for all. No matter if campers join our traditional or specialty camp programs, there is something at camp for everyone. We are open to suggestions and special requests.
